Phillips Office Solutions teams with Guernsey Office Products for May’s Customer Appreciation Day

expo-save-date.jpgPhillips’ annual Customer Appreciation Day will return on May 9, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at our headquarters on Fulling Mill Road, Middletown.

You’ll see many familiar, friendly faces and offerings: more than 100 product manufacturers, seminars, show specials, prize drawings, massages and, of course, breakfast and lunch.

What’s new is our partnership with Guernsey Office Products Inc. in presenting Customer Appreciation Day.

Back on Dec. 31, we sold our office supply division to Guernsey, which, like Phillips, is a family-owned company. Guernsey is one of the nation’s leading independent office product companies.

The move allows Phillips to focus on our growing document management and office interiors divisions. If you were unaware of this transition, that’s as it should be. We did our best to ensure stability for the sake of our employees and, most important, our customers.

Guernsey retained each of Phillips’ 76 office supply employees. The office supply division continues to operate from Fulling Mill Road and still bears the Phillips name and logo. Robert Chilton has remained as president of the division.

“It was a difficult decision to sell the office supply division,” said Peter Phillips, CEO of Phillips Office Solutions. “But it’s reassuring to know the high value Guernsey places on the Phillips name and on the deep relationships we have fostered with our customers.”

Peter Phillips has known David Guernsey, president and CEO of Guernsey Office Products, for 20 years.

Phillips, which has been recognized as our region’s leading office copier/printer and office furniture supplier, has continually evolved with the times. For instance, we once sold and serviced typewriters and formerly operated retail locations.

In 2009, Phillips expanded beyond multi-functional products with the completion of a half-million-dollar expansion in order to provide secure records storage and management, document destruction services and quick-print services.

In 2012, we introduced managed network services, which provides information technology support and technology guidance to small-to-mid-sized businesses.

Document Management and Workplace Interiors customers: You will still receive invoices from Phillips Office Solutions.
Office Product customers: You will now be receiving invoices from Guernsey Office Products.
